I would recommend the product as a worthy successor to WS's AMT.YTD Video Downloader lets you download videos from tons of websites and play them on your computer. I haven't had the software long enough to know how long it will last me, so I can't address that issue. The quelle, or history of converted files disappears when you close down the software and reopen it, not allowing you to see everything you've converted. Another thing, I like about this software is I don't have to open up Window's Movie Maker to convert it a second time unlike WS's AMT, which only converted to a generic Windows format, unless I want to add titles or editing. The downloads and conversions are fast and don't seem dependent on the posted video format, unlike WS's AMT. However, I have noticed, it doesn't convert to a Windows MP3 format, only MP4. And like WS's AMT, it not only downloads, but converts to different types of video and audio formats. It doesn't seem to be as compatible with as many sites as Wondershare's All My Tube, but its working. So, as its replacement, I've now ordered Aiseesoft's YouTube Downloader Pro. The last update to the software before it completely stopped working, prevented me from being able to download any video longer than an hour. However, the software is now defunct, it doesn't even open. In that time, I was able to download several thousands of dollars worth of video content off of YouTube and a handful of other sites the software was compatible with, for only $29.00, a great deal. It lasted me a little longer than a year. So, which is better? I ordered Wondershare's All My Tube a little over a year ago.
